...cheap chic continued
oh yes, i know you all were on the edge of your seats waiting for this moment. another post about cheap chic! (see previous post "city"). i absolutely adore cheap chic: hundreds of money saving hints to create your own great look written by caterine milinaire and carol troy. published in 1975 this book is a rather out of date how-to fashion guide, but cheap chic has been there for the good times and bad times...concerning my illustration inspiration and my wardrobe.
the book features rudi gernreich, diana vreeland, yves st. laurent, fran liebowitz, (a young) betsey johnson, and one of my fashion icons...ewa rudling. i unfortunately don't know so much about ewa...just that she is a remarkable photographer (noted for her celebrity portraits), was dear friends with nico, had wild romantic adventures...and she's swedish.
