here's the story...

(monkey hair, horse hair, goat hair...or what have you)
once when i was a fair and innocent young adult i entered an antique shop in a little town of wisconsin (my mom accompanying me). we proceeded to the shop's second floor and there lurking behind a door was a long furry coat. i was immediately scared and slowly backed away from the entrance just incase it tried to make a move. at the time i remember thinking it was a horse hair coat, but now i realize it must have been a monkey hair coat.

monkey hair coats and trims were popular in and out of the 1920's to 1940's. to tell you the truth i do think they are pretty and of course pretty creepy. so since monkey hair is out of the question now a days...goat hair has been the comparable choice. just ask kate moss...she likes her shiny black goat hair coat. get yours at topshop

*i am now extremely cautious entering antique stores selling clothing. it's absolutely thrilling!
