the michigan's upper peninsula...that is. i found this "chalk" statue (of a girl with a strange little yellow birdie atop her head) at an antique store in ironwood. i love her blue glowing eyes...and the fact that it's kind of creepy. awh...plus it reminds me of yoshitomo nara's and seonna hong's artwork.
bessemer has ski lodges nestled in their woods surrounding the slopes. there's lots of cute A-frame houses, but i found this lodge...and fell in love. looks like a dollhouse...and i want to live in it!
oh yeah, + lake superior is pretty damn beautiful and my most favorite great lake (sorry lake michigan, it's true)
